What We Do

Native Edge Institutes (NEI)

Native EDGE Institutes

Native Edge Institutes (NEIs) are free one-day, in-person events that provide both established and aspiring business owners with critical business training. NEIs also connect participants to resources available in their region, along with one-on-one business counseling, coaching, and matchmaking services.

Since 2018, and with support from Wells Fargo, KeyBank, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and MBDA, we have hosted NEIs across the country – from Hawaii to Maine, Alaska to Florida. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we shifted NEIs to a virtual format to ensure these events could continue even as people stayed at home. We continue to offer a virtual component to every NEI.

Watch some of the recaps to learn more about NEIs and their impact on the entrepreneurs that utilize them. Or, if you’re into podcasts, listen to an episode of the Native Edge podcasts that discusses NEIs. You can also visit our events page to find out where upcoming NEIs will take place.

Indian Country continues to benefit from the skill, dedication, and tireless work of The National Center and its team.
