Yvette Fielder
Yvette Fielder, MPA is a Program Director at the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED), where she works with Tribal nations, Native entrepreneurs, and small business owners to help them achieve their business and economic development goals through training, technical assistance, and strategic support. She is also the co-host of the Native Edge Podcast, where she shares resources, success stories, and insights that support economic development throughout Indian Country.
Yvette is an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes (Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation) and a descendant of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. Her clan is Midibahdi (Waterbuster) in the Hidatsa language.
Throughout her career, Yvette has held leadership roles in Tribal government, education, business, and community development, with experience in project management, economic and workforce development, banking, accounting, and early childhood education. She has worked extensively with Tribal governments and Native communities across the United States, helping build programs and create opportunities that strengthen Native economies.
Yvette earned her Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Science in Management, graduating with honors from the University of Phoenix. She also completed an executive business certificate program through the Tuck School of Business.
A former foster parent for ten years, Yvette also raised her youngest child during this time, viewing the experience as a meaningful way to give back to those in need and support children in less fortunate circumstances. She considers raising her five children to be her greatest accomplishment.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Yvette is actively engaged in her community through church involvement, civic service, and volunteer work. She also serves as a resource to a local museum, contributing her time to both the Board of Directors and the Development Committee.
Her passion for service, leadership, and Native economic advancement continues to guide her work with Tribal communities and Native-owned businesses.
